Trappers Turn Golf Club has several golf professionals on staff that can assist in improving your game.Programs and opportunities range from single half-hour sessions to five full days. Most programs are developed based on your needs and time demands. We work hard to offer win-win opportunities for those visiting Wisconsin Dells and those that live close enough to see us more often.

We offer several types of lessons, including Beginner to Aspiring Professional, Individual, Group, Package Discounts, Ladies and Senior Specific, Short Game Schools and Driving.

Director of Golf / General Manager

Patrick Steffes joined Trappers Turn's staff in 1997. He gathered some of his teaching experience while being involved with the PGA's Accelerated Program where he was exposed to the teachings of the PGA of America's Director of Instruction Rick Martino. Since then, he has worked with hundreds of juniors, women and men.

Golf Operation Manager / Head Golf Pro

Jim Thew, a native of Reedsburg, is a seasoned professional in the hospitality and tourism industry, beginning his career in customer service in the Dells. Jim transitioned into the role of Head Golf Professional at Castle Rock Golf Course in Mauston, where he has demonstrated his golf expertise for the past three years. During his tenure, Jim has facilitated more than 150 golf lessons, catering to individuals of varying ages and skill levels. He finds nothing more fulfilling than fostering a love for the game among new players, making his work a passion, not just a profession.
